Running with the Big Dogs

I never think of myself as a creative person.  Which is weird because everything I do as a career or as a hobby falls into the category of "creative."  I'm a graphic designer by trade.  I work (sorta) full time as a graphic designer for the family business.  I make ads, photoshop, photograph, etc... but I still think I don't have a creative bone in my body sometimes.

What I can do is make things happen.  If I have an idea or see something I really like or want to do, I make it a reality.  I decided I wanted to make zipper bracelets, so I learned how to sew.  I learned how to apply snaps and use fancy setting tools.

I don't think that's very creative, but as an executor, I'm pretty top-notch.

So, when my husband mentioned to me that there were Great Dane puppies available for adoption, I surprised myself by thinking of the perfect name for our future Great Dane puppy...wait for it..."Dane Edna."  I know, I know...I'm a genius.

I couldn't wait, I had to take it a step further.  That's when this happened:

Dane Edna Great Dane

Anyway, that's what I mean by saying I'm a great executioner.  I have an idea and I need to execute it.  Make it a reality.  Would I actually ever make my dog look like Dame Edna?  Of course not (unless it's Halloween then all bets are off)!  Does that make me creative or just good at Photoshop? Who knows, but I'm really ok with it.
